Isabelle Review (GOTY 2014)

Hello! Katelyn here!

Happy 2014 everyone! Last year certainly did fly by fast...but it was a great year! So many great memories and friends were made last year...all thanks to you guys! So, thanks so much....you mean the world to both me and Marissa! :D

Also, our YouTube anniversary is coming up! (January 5) Marissa and I are having a tinychat party and having a sleepover on the 4th! It will be so fun! Stay tuned to our channel for more info about that! :)

Anyways, if you guys were with us since the very beginning you would know that last year in February I did a review on Saige. (That was actually also our first blog post too) So, I decided to do the same thing again this year! Except, I will be doing it with Isabelle, who is the GOTY of 2014.

So, lets go ahead and get started shall we? :)

First, the doll Isabelle. Over the years, I have felt that American Girl has gotten kinda lazy with making the GOTY's unique, but I feel that they have actually put thought into making Isabelle different this year! Isabelle first has really pretty light green eyes. On the website, it says she has hazel...but they look green to me! Either way though, I think that it's good that they decided to do the eyes a color other than blue! Blue is a pretty color...but it seems the majority of the dolls from American girl have blue eyes! So, it's a relief to me that they finally chose another color.

The other other thing that really surprises me about Isabelle is that she comes with "special pink-tipped highlights" that you can attach to her hair! I feel like this is a very good choice on American Girl's part, because I feel this is going to be one of the main reasons why Isabelle is going to be a successful girl of the year. Who doesn't want pink highlights for your doll? I know I do! Count me in! :D

Those are actually the only things about the doll's appearance that really appeal to me though. In my opinion, Isabelle is WAY better than Saige by far. But, that is strictly my opinion...of course, I have never seen either of the dolls in person...but from what I have seen from the AG website and other sources, this is how I feel about both dolls.

Now, sadly there are actually no accessories from the Isabelle collection that I might consider buying. There actually are only about five or six things to choose from in the first place! I'm probably not interested though because I'm not a dancer, but, I do believe that if you are a dancer, or you get Isabelle and you like her story, you will really enjoy the accessories that her collection has to offer. But, nothing really interests me in particular . But the one piece of furniture that I'm predicting will be the most popular out of all of them, is Isabelle's Studio. Even though it is the most expensive item ($275!), I still feel it will be very popular because of all the details and accessories. I believe most collectors and littler girls who enjoy Isabelle and her collection will find the studio really cool.

Even though the accessories from her collection don't really interest me, some of her clothes definitely do! The outfit that I love and would like to share with you is Isabelle's Metallic Dress and Coral Sweater.

First, the Metallic Dress because it is so pretty! I love the detailing and the pink ballet flats even have little bows on them! I believe that this is going to be a popular clothing item from her collection...and I might even consider purchasing this item myself!

Next, her Coral Sweater! First, I just like to say, that this is a new thing from American Girl. They have decided to start selling outfits in different little parts, instead of all together in one outfit! This will definitely save us a lot of money on AG stuff! Anyway, I love this sweater because of the color and the way it gets longer on the one side. I feel this sweater would look beautiful with a basic pair of jeans, and some converse! I also love how it's less expensive ($14) because it is a single piece...Thanks AG!

Alright, well those are all my thoughts on Isabelle's collection! As you can see...they are all pretty positive, and I believe she will be another successful GOTY who will go down in AG history. Now, for the real question, will I be purchasing her? Well, maybe...if I do, probably towards the end of the year. She is like all my other dolls in so many ways, and I don't want a bunch of dolls who are the same! So, I'll think about it...but I'm not entirely sure yet. I will probably be getting the clothing pieces that I talked about though! :D

Are you getting Isabelle? Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

Hope you guys are having a fabulous day! :)

xoxo,
